Music Video Inspiration : NoNoNo - Pumpin Blood

This music video is basic but effective. This is because it mainly consist of videos and images from the same location. By having one consistent location through the video this enable the viewer to have a single location to focus on. The main feature of the video that I am interested in are they lyrics and the melody. This is because they are a very upbeat style that would be very easy to replicate into a music video of my own. The lyrics and the melody of this are done in a style that builds up over the duration of the song. It has points within the music where the lyrics and sound become much more upbeat and faster this means that I could change and use different style of videos and images to match the lyrics and the melody.  The song has many different style and lengths of instrumentals throughout this means that I could use different styles of videos and images to match the music at each point. The music begins with a slow paced tune and then becomes quicker paced and build up over the first 25 seconds of the song. For the first 25 seconds of the music there is no music this is important as this can be used to create an introduction to the video and this can be used to set the ‘scene’ for the video and the style that it is going to be.

For the music video style that I have chosen to base my video on is alternative rock. This is a good style to choose as there is an audience that enables you to reach out to other genre specific clients as this is in-between two very different styles. Therefore enabling me to create a video that appeals to more people. The style of the music video Pumpin Blood consists of a style that is both up beat and rock style and a more calm slower paced style. Within the chorus it became more alternative rock as it has the heavier beats and music along with the softer and much calmer lyrics. Along with the vide this is a very alternative rock style this is because it jumps between the two styles. Showing a beach and the sands and then when it comes to the chorus it changes to a style of more rock that has the flashing dark lights along to create a much more rock style that will help me to achieve a wider target audience as there are two different style that I can use to reach the target audience.
